Multiplier event for the promotion of CRAFTS 3.0 project’s results

A promotion event of CRAFTS 3.0 project was organized at Bánffy Castle, Bontida on 27th July 2020. The project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union, and implemented in partnership

The aim of it is to support the professional development of handicraft teachers and trainers in Europe in their transition to the digital age, by improving their teaching competencies on innovative VET education through ICT based methods and tools.

The detailed presentation of this project was followed by the launch of an e-learning platform, a Google Classroom which offers the possibility to learn online and from distance about the materials, methods and techniques used by the craftsmen in the practical tuition of the restoration workshops organised at the Castle. The e-learning platform contains a set of 5 courses developed by craftsmen and traditional building crafts skills’ specialists involved in the project. A mobile application was also presented as result of the project which supports the professional development of handicraft teachers and trainers in order to improve their teaching competencies.

The participants of the event had the possibility to try the e-learning platform and access the courses. Among the results of the project there is a European ECVET Curriculum on ICT-based teaching-learning methods in VET (Vocational Education and Training) for craft sectors, and a Guide for validation, certification and accreditation as a useful tool to support the process of maturing of certification and accreditation policies in the use of ICT-based innovative teaching-learning methods in VET for craft sectors in Europe.
