Bánffy Music Day

Bánffy Music Day is a one-day classical music event organised in the alternative spaces of Bánffy Castle, Bontida. The program was organized two times, in 2018 and in 2019.

The first event was dedicated to waltz “Pas banale”, composed by Miklós Bánffy. It was performed by Alexandra Făgărășan (piano) and the Notes&Ties Orchestra conducted by Dalma Toadere Kovács, orchestrated and adapted by composer Daniel Patrick Cohen. The programme also offered guided tours, book launch, wine tasting and 9 small concerts for our audience.

In 2019 we had a special guest, Roman Kim from Kazakhstan, who is considered one of the most remarkable violinists of our century who will be mentioned by future generations in the same breath with Niccolò Paganini and Eugène Ysaÿe. The other speciality of the event was the delicious brunch based on old receipts, and offered by Tímár Krisztina and the Vorbe restaurant. We organized programme for children and guided tours for our visitors.
